4 Steps That Will Help Your Dog Walker or Cat Sitter

A meet and greet is a fantastic opportunity to get to know your dog walker or cat sitter. Here are a few ways to prepare for your consultation:

1) Point out locations for food, treats, leash, collar, baggies, wee-wee pads. For cats, litter, toys and any hiding locations.

2) Go over your pet’s likes and dislikes. For example, your dog may not like pets on top of the head and instead prefer a different location. Does your dog like other dogs?

3) What are your pet’s favorite potty locations? Your pooch may be a picky pooper and prefer the trees across the street instead of the ones on your block.

4) Keys. Most companies require two sets of keys. One for your dog walker and another on file in case of an emergency. Make sure both sets are tagged and labeled. For security purposes, we suggest you do NOT write your address on them. Try out both sets to make sure they work.

Following these quick and simple steps will start you off on the right path together while getting your pet acquainted with your new sitter.
